Patient Transportation is the service of moving a patient (via wheelchair or stretcher) to all areas of the hospital during their hospital stay. Below are the ‘traditional’ moves that occur within the service of Patient Transportation at Baylor Scott & White Health.

1. Admission to patient’s home room
2. Home Room to Diagnostic/Testing Areas
3. Diagnostic/Testing Areas to Home Room
4. Transfer – from one nursing unit to another
5. Discharge – (to personal car or valet area)
